We had an amazing time fishing with Nick and his son Jackson! This was our second trip with them, and we wouldn’t book with anyone else. Both times, Nick put us on fish when very few other boats were catching. His knowledge of the water and gear made all the difference in finding fish and bringing them in. Thanks to them, we’ll be enjoying salmon for a long time! Jackson was a fantastic first mate—fun, helpful, and great to have on board. Can’t recommend them enough!

If you're looking for a guide who's respected by fellow captains, adored by clients, and one of the best boat handlers you'll ever meet—Nick’s your guy. For two straight days, not once did he take his focus off delivering the best possible experience. Even during the slow stretches, his energy and positivity were a breath of fresh air. He consistently put us on fish—big fish—and made every moment on the water count. Nick is an absolute expert, not just at finding fish but in how he works the water and earns the respect of other guides. He was calm, respectful, and skilled, even helping coordinate with “old school” guides like a seasoned pro. One highlight? A 40-pound salmon was nearly stolen by a sea lion mid-reel, and Nick battled that beast like a champ—he netted that fish and saved the day. I’ve been on countless charters over the last 30 years chasing late-season Chinook, but Nick stands out. We hit our limits by 9:30 AM on Day 1, and despite a tougher Day 2, we still came out with limits. I left with 111 pounds of King Salmon in two days, and everyone else on the boat went home smiling with full coolers. Other guides were even asking Nick for fish locations—his electronics and instincts are top-tier. At the cleaning station, he was met with respect from the entire fleet. What Nick has built with Nick Young Outdoors is something truly special. If you get a chance to fish with him—take it. You'll leave with fish, memories, and stories you’ll be telling for years. For me, it’s Nick Young Outdoors or nothing from here on out.
